Stump Removal

When a tree is removed to ground level, the stump and its root system remains. Tree stumps can be unsightly and hazardous. Stump removal is useful when a customer is looking to lay foundations for a new property/shed/patio or to replant a replacement tree.

The only way to safely and effectively remove a tree stump is by using a stump grinder. A stump grinder has powerful rotating blades which grind away the tree stump to around 25cm below ground level.

Main reasons a client may decide to undergo stump removal:

1. The stump looks unsightly
2. The stump is getting in the way of future plans i.e garden shed
3. The stump poses a hazard i.e. children playing in the garden.

What is Eco Plugging?

Sometimes Stump Grinding is not an option, usually due to the location of the tree stump and accessibility of the Stump Grinder.

Eco plugging provides an effective and cost efficient alternative.

The plugs are highly effective at killing tree stumps and can be used all year round. Each plug is drilled into the stump and releases a herbicide which achieves 95-100% regrowth.

Eco-plugs have no effect on surrounding trees or vegetation.
